Management Training

Rolling Felt

Using the making of felt as a team bonding exercise, a part of a management and diversity training programme, is unique and something which I have formulated.

The participants work through all the processes of felt making from the initial design process which utilises group discussions and research, to the production of group design segments and then the combining of all pieces into a main team piece. The actual felting process is organised by the group with the final outcome being a combination of ideas and skills.

Benefits to your company

Felt making for team work exercises and uses ideas and skills that benefit the working arena. From initial design conception to finished piece the team member may face and work through many issues that are confronted in daily working life. These can be:

  • Leadership values
  • Asking the right questions and listening to answers
  • Working with other team members
  • Participants learn new skills.
  • Enables participants to plan projects logically.
  • Promotes imaginative ways of problem solving.

  • Approaching problems in a constructive way
  • Learning to avoid pitfalls before they happen
  • Encourages thinking ‘outside the box’.
  • Uses imagination and creativity.
  • Equal opportunities for men and women.
  • Improves dexterity and patience.

Building Company takes advantage...Working together on a project

Working with a nationwide building supplies conglomerate and their potential branch managers training programme, has benefited all participants and despite scepticism at first from delegates the final outcome was enormous enjoyment all round and a bonding of all participants at the beginning of a year-long programme. Feedback responses have all been excellent.

Learning creative techniquesUsing felt workshops as part of a management training programme gives enormous benefit to the workforce.

Working together...

The finished result! This activity encourages discussions with all members of the team, allowing everyone to have their say and be a valued member of the group as well as acknowledging the strengths and weaknesses in the group.

The final outcome is total team esteem for the finished product.
